"Didn't receive this e-mail notification until today, Wednesday, March 28th--you posted it March 23rd??? What a great idea to have a safe walking and biking trail from Felton to the SLV schools! Catherine [lockhart gulch resident]"

Catherine O'Kelly commented on Mike Matessa's event Monthly Potluck
"Sorry, will be out of town. Sorry, Karen, I like fish and chicken. I know others do, too. Why should it be a vegie potluck only? I say we should vote on it, if it's that important to you. I hope this comment doesn't leave this page, but if…"

I enjoyed talking with you when we met last Saturday, and I'm sure I will again. As you can imagine, though, I can't talk with everyone by phone or in person all the time, because I work full-time and spend most of the rest of my time working on this. Some people love online netwoks, some hate 'em. We need to use it, because it's impossible to do all that we need to, otherwise -- from my viewpoint, at least. We will start having meetings soon, but we'll count on people at least reading the blogs and keeping up a big here, if possible. If you can tolerate Twitter, I'm sure you can't get used to this!

AAAAArgh-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h......this is TOO confusing, Judith. Too much information. It appears that Transition is trying to be all things to all people. We don't need to duplicate what others are doing....example, the Directory. There are many community directories, printed and on-line. I wouldn't waste my time putting one together, when there are already many "directories" in this county/state/country. The survey said something about "assignments." Ooops. That one freaked me out. Is this school? I already have one class with weekly "assignments." Don't need more. I am interested in this group, but I need to know more. I listened to some of the videos, and it didn't "grab" me, don't know why.... Anything that smacks of DO THIS WAY OR ELSE turns me off, and I'm afraid that while I was listening, I was thinking of Werner Erhard and the EST movement. I'm too old to have anyone tell me what to do. My idea of FREEDOM is that I am free to follow my beliefs in my own way. I do march to a different drummer, but I also very much believe in THINK GLOBALLY, BUT ACT LOCALLY. I will try to learn more before I commit myself.

Welcome! This message is private, just between us, so no one else sees any reply. The Forum is the place for messages to all.

Please introduce yourself -- scroll down until you see the Forum in the middle area, just after the blue-shaded blog messages, click Introduce Yourself, and Reply there with a bit about you, your interests and possibly relevant experience, where you live (in general), and whatever might be help us know what brought you here and what you bring to the group. You're quite welcome to start discussions in the forum, too, and I hope everybody will join any of them, so it becomes a lively, friendly place. The forum is very easy-to-use after you try it once or twice, and it gives us a way to communicate before our first meeting and between meetings thereafter.

Also, please be sure to watch the (mostly) short videos, so we'll all know at least the basics at our first meeting. Other good info to learn about Transition is in the left column and forum messages. We use the Blog area, top-center for things that we want to be sure that everyone is aware of, so please check it whenever you log in. "Recent Activity" on the lower-right can be helpful, too. Watch for lines in blue that indicate new replies to messages and such. And join any group you want to or add any any groups that you think others might be interested in, too. I'll find a graphic or photo to go with it, so don't bother with that part unless you want to. Feel free to upload photos, start discussions or ask questions in the forum, or whatever is helpful to you and the rest of us.
